Alfa Romeo 166 wiper blades won't go off

Many Alfa Romeo 166 owners have experienced the problem with wiper blades. The problem with wiper blades is that they simply won't go off after either the driver started them or the rain sensor did the same thing. At first wiper blades would stop after being on for a long period of time, but as the time goes by, the wiper blades won't stop at all. The only way to stop them would be to pull over and turn the engine off.

Problem solution:

The first thing that needs to be checked in this situation is the relay that drives wiper blades. In most of the cases the problem is not in it, but it can cause this problem and the solution in this case is the easiest one. Try to hange this relay and see if the problem resists. If not, you're a lucky Alfa Romeo 166 owner.

If the wiper blades still won't go off, then the problem is in the wiper blades motor. What you need to do is to take off the wiper blades motor, open it, and clean it thoroughly. This means you need to clean every knob, every joint and every single part, put some grease or oil onto moving parts and put everything back together. After this your wiper blades will work as new again!
